a few weeks ago my class did some drawing then we did a narrative about superhero i did one with Briana and my superhero was Critty the cat, her sidekick was marine marine was critty owner.

i have restarted on my superhero writing because it too not neat so i restarted.

my goal was to be  neat and writ in paragraph.

Litercy week

WHAT: This week was literacy week the activity i did  was one of  the library activity.

SO WHAT: I enjoyed the scavenger hunt which was going to each class finding a picture on the window and writing the room number on the paper. i mange to finish it with my sister.

kauri athletics

WHAT: On Wednesday we did Athletics the activities are discus, high jump, sprints, shot put, long jump and relays.

SO WHAT: My favorite Activity was high jump because i had a new high score 95 cm!

NOW WHAT: Next week we are doing long jump and relays if Briana doesn't come i can be Briana.

Word Study - Blog 1 term 3 What? I am learning to understand how words are formed using roots, prefixes and suffixes. So What? I have learned that words that have the root hydra- and aqua- mean water. For example aquamarine is a colour. I have learned that words that have the root spect- mean look / see. For example spectacle = glasses that help someone see beter Now what? I feel that I have a good understanding of the root words aqua-, hydra-, and spect-

Week 2 - Writing Goal update

This week I am reflecting on one of my writing goals

IALT: Improve my writing by learning how to:

* use a variety of sentence starters

This week I have been focusing on how to write a drop-in clause

Here is an example of a drop-in clause

Mr Forman is our teacher.
He loves his red car.
Mr Forman, who is our teacher, loves his red car.

Mr Forman is the subject of the sentence.
We change ‘He’ to ‘who’
We place commas around the clause we ‘drop-in’

Here are two examples of a drop-in clause that I have created.

My Writing Goals for term 2

IALT: Improve my writing by learning how to:

* organise my writing into paragraphs
* use a variety of sentence starters
* use the correct language features of a narrative - dialogue

Use a variety of sentence starters
To help me with this goal I am using a 'Sentence Starter Menu'

It will help my writing to be more interesting and to hook the reader in more.

WHAT: room 24 did art with Mrs Boston the used pastels and chalk we draws Maul sun's. SO WHAT: I ENJOYED doing the sun drawing because it was really awesome to see other ideas from other people our suns can be any kind of shapes but it must have patterns. NOW WHAT:MY NEXT STEP IS: make more pattern and colour and not just useing my favourite colour.

my reading goal

WHAT:this is the book I am currently reading as part of my reading goal which is to be able to be read for longer periods of time and retain meaning. SO WHAT:I the book I'm currenty reading is thea stilton and the great tulip heist its really intresting because they went on a boat to go after this mouse and found out that they went after the wrong mouse. NOW WHAT:My goal is also to read a variety of genre. This book is traditional literature. The next genre I am going to read mystery.

year 6 camp

WHAT:last week the year 6 students went to Waipara for a 3 day camp.
 SO WHAT:We went there to have fun and do activities. I enjoyed abseling because it was so much fun and me and Louise were the fastest.something that challenged me was the water challange one it was hard. my highlight was me and Louise were the fastest in our group and bravest at abseling.
 NOW WHAT: I'm going to use the skills and dispositions I developed on camp to help me though the year.
